Bright Lights....

Back in October, Deanna started a Bible study for young ladies called Bright Lights. It's a study that was originally started by a young lady named Sarah Mally, who desired to see other girls like herself become strong for the Lord in their youth. She began Bright Lights in their living room, and it has grown to a worldwide ministry.

Deanna also had the same desire, so she has begun leading a Bright Lights group for our area, for girls ages 9-16. We have had an amazing response! Our biggest group was when we had a movie night, when we watched Pamela's Prayer (highly recommended for all young people, particularly young ladies!) - we had 16! We have been running about an average of 11 the last few months now. It has been a lot of fun, and we know that girls have been ministered to and have grown in their walk with the Lord. There truly is a hunger for a closer walk with God in the hearts of young ladies!

I took some pictures of last night's meeting:

::Digging into God's Word is a big part of our evening::

::Before we begin the study, we enjoy a time of singing around our piano!::

::Deanna::

::Keri and Cara - Deanna divided the girls into groups, gave them an outline, and had them come up with a short skit based on that outline. I think everyone enjoyed it!::

::Nikole and Nikki::

::Emma, Brooke, and Nicole::

::Lexi and Ashley::

::Skit time! Our theme was Mercy::

::The story of when Peter denied Christ three times - and yet Christ showed him mercy!::

We'd like to ask you to pray for us this week - our family will be traveling to Chicago, Illinois for revival services. Also, because of this, I'm not sure if I'll be able to update while we're gone - but you can expect a post when we return! :-) We're really looking forward to this! We have some specific prayer requests:

  • Protection while traveling
  • That we would all stay healthy
  • That everyone in attendance would be ministered to and changed

Also, we have a praise! Dad and Deanna returned home safely after doing revival services in Estherville, Iowa - they had a very good weekend and we pray that many were ministered to.

Also, I don't think I've mentioned this before, but we'd like to invite you to take a look at our family website (click here). Again, please keep us in your prayers throughout the coming week! Thanks so much for your prayers! :-)

The Bible study sounds like a wonderful idea! It also looks like a lot of fun! I hope you have a safe, fun trip. Will pray to that end. God bless!
