Tori's Tasty Tuesdays - Mom's Lasagne

I think that I can truly say that my mom makes the best lasagne I have ever tasted....and I have tasted some pretty good lasagne! This is a delicious, quick, and easy recipe that I think you will enjoy! Mom claims she's famous for it and it is a secret recipe. :-) But she didn't mind if I shared it with all of you!

  1. Cook lasagne noodles

  2. Brown 1 pound of hamburger - drain excess grease - add 1 jar of spaghetti sauce and 1/2 carton of cottage cheese.

  3. Grease 9x13 pan

  4. Make 3 layers - begin with noodles, sauce, and mozzerella cheese, repeat to make 3 layers, ending with mozzerella cheese on top.

  5. Cover with foil

  6. Cook at 350 degrees for an hour - uncover pan 15 minutes before finished baking. Let set for 5 minutes before serving.

Bon appetite!

Introducing.....

Ms. Licensed Driver!
Yes, you read it correctly. Deanna is now officially licensed to be able to drive on her own! She has had her permit since she was fourteen, and decided to bypass driver's ed, and waited until she was 18 so all she had to do was take a driving test. She took it this morning and passed with flying colors (she even was able to parallel park without any trouble)! She's been driving around all day (Nikki and I have been begging for rides) and us three girls went out for lunch today all by ourselves! :-)

Please leave a comment congratulating Deanna!

Egg Extravaganza

Our church's annual Easter egg hunt took place yesterday and it went extremely well. We had between 50-60 kids show up, plus their parents! Praise the Lord! One of the parents who had attended the egg hunt showed up at church this morning - it was so exciting to see! This is such a great outreach ministry! It was so hard to choose which pictures to post, but I picked some of my favorites. Hope you enjoy looking at them! :-)

Chicago

I apologize for taking such a long time to get my post about Chicago on here.....we finally uploaded the pictures and we have been so busy lately, I haven't had a chance to sit down and write a post. We had a wonderful time in Chicago! Our entire family went, which was a lot of fun, considering we don't get to go on revivals as a family much anymore. The services were great - we believe and pray that many were ministered to! Thank you so much for your prayers!

Friday afternoon, we took the Metra train into downtown Chicago with the pastor and his wife. We had so much fun! :-) It was complete culture shock....when we walked up from the underground train station, and saw all of the TALL buildings.....wow! What a feeling! We Iowans were in a state of shock....to us Des Moines is a big town...but it was nothing compared to Chicago. Here are some pictures from our big expedition! :-D

::Actually, this isn't Chicago....this is Crestwood, where we were doing the revival. Chicago is famous for it's hot dogs...so we just had to try some at Portillo's - very good!::

::Anxiously waiting for the Metra train to take off!::

::Tired from the exciting day, but not too tired to pose for one last picture::

::Strawberry smoothie Mexican style! We got a good chuckle out of this one.....::

::This is a video of Mom and Deanna rock climbing at Dick's Sporting Goods....watch Mom especially (on left)...she had a rough go of it! It's pretty funny! :-D Be sure to pause the music on the sidebar!::

Thanks to Mark and Paula for taking the day to show us around Chicago, and for putting up with our constantly stopping to videotape/take pictures! We had so much fun!

As always, we ask for your continued prayers. Dad and Deanna left today for a revival in Des Moines, Iowa, so please keep those services in your prayers.
