Iowa Holiness Association Campmeeting

Do you desire to grow closer to God? Do you want to have a life-changing experience that you will never forget? If you're a teenager, do you want to associate and build fast friendships with other young people who love God and truly desire to serve Him?

Then the Iowa Holiness Campmeeting is for YOU!

If you can say yes to any of the above questions, then you need to make plans to attend this campmeeting, which is held on June 8-13 in Oskaloosa, Iowa!

Our family has been attending this camp for 3 years, and it is the absolute highlight of our summer! Services for adults, children, and teens! Bring the entire family!

You can enjoy lunch and supper in the air conditioned comfort of the dining room on the campus! Great food at reasonable prices!

I would especially like to promote the youth program! Our theme for this year is, "Will You Be The One?". From the Bible studies to the fun and games, this could be an exciting and life-changing time for you and your friends! Also, the youth program is extended one night this year. On Saturday (the 14th) we'll have breakfast, then assist with Camp Clean-up and conclude with a devotional as our send off.

For the teens, five days and six nights with meals for just $60!

Some of the teens activities will include:

  • Bowling

  • Doing a service at an assisted living home

  • Mini-putt

  • Movie night

  • Bonfire with communion

  • Capture the Flag

(Our heartfelt purpose is to provide a Bible study program rather than merely a recreational retreat for our young people)

For more information on this terrific camp, please visit the camp's website: www.iowaholinessassociation.org. There you will find photos, message clips, a brochure to look at, and more!

Do not miss out on this terrific opportunity to attend this camp! We invite you take a look at the slideshow below!

"Iowa Holiness Association Camp was one of the most beautiful experiences that I have, well, experienced! The second day of my first time at IHA camp I was pulled by God and changed so irrevocably. I'm still myself but now I'm more in tune with God's call in my life. Not only was IHA spiritually moving but it was completely thrilling. I made so many good friends that I can't wait to see again. We had lots of fun activities during camp and lots of chances to grow together as friends. I'm not real sure what else to say except that IHA has, in fact, changed my life. I'm really glad that I went and am so excited to go again."

In honor of Memorial Day....

....I have decided to post an AMAZING video of an INCREDIBLE rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner". You will be floored at these voices - these girls (who are sisters) are all between the ages of 6 and 9. Their pitch is perfect and their harmony astounding. This was their first public event as they sang at a Texas Tech vs. Texas basketball game. Enjoy!

"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives, and when he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"

~ Clarence the Angel in It's a Wonderful Life

Have a safe Memorial Day weekend!

They're here! Pictures of Deanna's graduation ceremony that took place last Saturday in Des Moines!! Yay! This is the first of possibly three different posts about it. I hope I don't bore you! :-)

The night before we left for Des Moines - we all had to try on Deanna's cap and gown!

So there is the first part! Coming soon: Pictures of us at the restaurant we went to afterwards, and hopefully some pictures my aunt took. Tomorrow is Deanna's open house - please pray for good weather, since we are having it outdoors, and there is a chance for rain.

Congrats, Deanna! We're so proud of you!

School Pictures

A couple of weeks back, mom decided to snap a few pictures of me after my haircut, and they turned out so well, that we have considered using them as my school pictures! She did an excellent job and she had so much fun taking and editing them. I know that some are duplicates, but they are all edited differently. Enjoy!

Please leave a comment telling us what you think and which ones are your favorites!
For those of you waiting to see graduation pictures, they are coming! I have to figure out how to download some pictures and then pick which ones are my favorite out of over 200! Sooooo, hopefully they will be up really soon!

Bubble Blowing

We are in Des Moines for Deanna's graduation this weekend - it has been a lot of fun! I have many pictures to post from the ceremony today, but I'll do that later. Right now, I wanted to post pictures from last night when we went out to eat at the Sugar Shack, a cool '50s restaurant we found in the town we're staying in.

:Getting ready for bubble blowing!:

:We were struggling to get a good bubble....:

:Or at least a picture of a good bubble:

:Go Tori, go! Blow that bubble!:

:Well, they certainly wouldn't make the record books, but it's the best we could do:

:Go Deanna!:

POP!

:FINALLY! Look at her go!:

:Nikki with her ice cream cone:

:Awww...sisterly love:

:Father and daughter:

As I said, graduation pictures will be coming soon!!
