Now there is a reason for this facial expression. My parents gave me a WONDERFUL birthday present - tickets to a Bill Gaither Homecoming concert this May!! I am SO excited!

I wanted to post a comment and tell you a few things you might want to consider when you go (it's what we did both times we went to Gaither concerts):
--get there when the doors open. When we saw them in Jackson, we got to see Roy Webb, Doug Anderson, Ben and Sonya Isaacs, and Mike Allen all come through the lobby while we were waiting!! Also, right after you get in the doors, find EH&SS's booth-- they will more likely than not be there.
--you might want to wait a few minutes after the concert ends and see if Wes Hampton stays there right near the stage-- even if you're not a huge fan of him, it will make your day getting to meet him! It never occurs to him that he's famous, by the way!
--take as many pictures as your camera will hold. :-) This really helps as sometimes (like months or in our case a couple years after the concert) it gets a bit blurry as to what happened when!
--and on that note, (now Rebekah and I are serious trivia hounds, so most people won't want to do this....) you might want to take a pad of paper and a pen and write down all the songs you hear as they come! You ought to see the papers we have from the concert in Jackson, especially-- with it being so dark in the arena, we could hardly see what we were writing!

Ah. Happy Really Late Birthday!!!! Last year my great aunt asked if i was 16 and still never been kissed....I had to tell her that I've been kissed. By our horse Blaze. Well, I guess I kissed him! :-D
